Luna & Sun Shot helps you calculate the perfect moment when the moon or sun aligns with a landmark.
Plan your "Full Moon over the Tower" or "Sunset between Buildings" shot with precision.
๐ How to Use
1. Select Mode & Date
Toggle the top-left button to choose [๐ Moon] or [โ๏ธ Sun] mode, and pick a date.
2. Set Target
Click on the map to select your subject (building, mountain peak). A red marker will appear. * Use the search bar to find locations easily.
3. Enter Height
Enter the height of the object in meters.
Rise: If you just want to see it rising from the horizon, leave it at 0.
Set: Height is crucial if you want to capture the celestial body setting on top of a building.
4. Draw Lines
Click the button.
Direction lines will appear on the map.
๐ Moon Mode: Blue (Moonrise) / Orange (Moonset)
โ๏ธ Sun Mode: Red (Sunrise) / Yellow (Sunset)
5. Find Shooter Location
Click anywhere on or near the lines to place your shooting spot (Blue marker).
6. Check Results
Calculation results will appear at the bottom.
๐ธ Shot Window: Start and end time of the alignment.
Red Solid Line: Direction at start time.
Red Dashed Line: Direction at end time.
Adjust your location so the target fits within the red lines.
๐ก Tips
Distance: The further you are from the target, the larger the moon/sun appears relative to the building.
Precision: This app accounts for Earth's curvature, Parallax, and atmospheric refraction for astronomical accuracy.
